The Reset Style Sheet

As I start working on my new personal website I thought I'd share some of the tips and tricks I've learned over the years.

One of best tools I've come across to help with browser inconsistencies is the reset style sheet which I first learned about from Eric Meyers. The basic idea is that you set margins, padding, line heights and what not so that your pages all have a consistent default appearance across browsers.

He gives an example and explains his thoughts on the subject here.

First Post

For my first post I thought I would share a little bit about myself. I'm currently a .NET developer in the Omaha area and I've been a developer in some form or another for around 12 years now.

My very first IT job was programming automated cement mixers in QBasic back in the late 90s. Since then I've had the opportunity to work for some of the most well known companies in Omaha including Gallup, West, Kiewit and Telvent.

I plan on sharing new experiences and ideas I've had in the IT industry here on my blog and see what others think about them.
